After 7 years apart, Cyriel Andrew Claeys was reunited in passing with his beloved wife Joy on November 15, 2025 at the age of 86.
Though our hearts are at peace knowing he is sitting at his favourite fishing hole, He will be missed by his children Cindy Glover, Scott Sorrell and Mimi Bechard (Todd). He is a cherished grandfather to Wesley (Sarah), Jamie (Katie), Nevada (Brittany), Skyler (Marie), Chyenne (Brandon), Omar, Nicolas, Youssif, Aiden, Gerry and Taunya and his 11 great grandchildren.
Cyriel was the last surviving child of the late Theophil and Gerarda Claeys who immigrated from Belgium and has now joined his twin brother Roy and his brother Larry. Cyriel will be fondly remembered by his extended family as well as his fishing friends.
Family and friends are invited to gather for visitation at the Haycock-Cavanagh Funeral Home, 409 Nelson Street in Wallaceburg (519-627-3231) on Thursday, November 20, 2025 from 12noon until the time of his funeral at 1:30pm.
Those that wish may gather for the burial at Evergreen Cemetery (Blenheim) on Friday, November 21, 2025 at 11am.
