‘Holiday Smile Cookie Week’ taken place in support of the Wallaceburg hospital redevelopment

Holiday Smile Cookie Week is back in Wallaceburg, with both local Tim Hortons locations selecting the Our Hospital, Our Future Wallaceburg Redevelopment Campaign as their charity partner for this year’s fundraiser.

Running from Nov. 17 to 23, the weeklong campaign invites customers to purchase hand-decorated Holiday Smile Cookies, with proceeds supporting redevelopment of the Wallaceburg Site of the Chatham-Kent Health Alliance. Funds raised will help enhance care for patients and families across Wallaceburg, Walpole Island, Dresden and the wider Chatham-Kent region.

“We’re incredibly grateful to Tim Hortons and to Mike and Paula Grail for choosing to support local hospital care,” said Christine Mitchell, president and CEO of the Chatham-Kent Health Alliance Foundation. “This is such a fun, festive campaign that brings our community together, and every cookie purchased gets us closer and closer to advancing the future of healthcare in Wallaceburg.”

Holiday Smile Cookie Week is part of a national Tim Hortons initiative that raised $10.7 million across Canada last year. Each restaurant selects a local charity to support, alongside Tim Hortons Foundation Camps. CKHAF is the 2025 beneficiary at both Wallaceburg shops.

“We absolutely love Smile Cookie Week,” said Mike and Paula Grail, owners of the two Wallaceburg Tim Hortons restaurants. “We’re proud to support the Our Hospital, Our Future Wallaceburg Redevelopment Campaign, and we hope our community will join us in making this year’s Holiday Smile Cookie Week one to remember.”

Foundation staff and volunteers will visit the restaurants throughout the week to help decorate cookies and share holiday cheer. Community members are encouraged to pick up cookies for their families, classrooms, workplaces or holiday gatherings.

Holiday Smile Cookies are available at 60 McNaughton Ave. and 848 Dufferin Ave. Bulk orders are welcomed, and pre-orders can be placed at ckhaf.ca/smile-cookie/. Every cookie purchased supports local healthcare.
