The Lambton Kent District School Board is pushing back against online misinformation linking the proposed Dresden landfill to the future of Lambton-Kent Composite School.
In a statement on social media, the board said there is no truth to claims suggesting the school could close or be relocated.
“The Lambton Kent District School Board has absolutely no plans or intentions to close, move, or sell Lambton-Kent Composite School. For more than 55 years, LKCS has been a cornerstone of the Dresden community—educating students from Dawn Euphemia Public School, Zone Township Central School, Thamesville Area Central School, Dresden Area Central School, and beyond. It’s a school where tradition meets excellence, and we’re proud of the incredible opportunities it provides for our students. We value the trust and support of our families and community.”
The board encouraged families to rely on official LKDSB channels for accurate updates, including its website, social media accounts and the MyLKDSB app.
“Thank you for being part of the Cardinal family. Together, we’ll continue to celebrate the incredible legacy and bright future of our school!”
