Driver charged after two-vehicle crash in Corunna

OPP officials allege: A 27-year-old Corunna resident is facing impaired driving and dangerous operation charges after a two-vehicle collision on Beckwith Street late Thursday night.

Lambton County OPP were called to the scene around 10:50 p.m. on Dec. 5. No injuries were reported.

Following an investigation, police charged the individual with impaired operation involving alcohol and drugs, impaired operation with a blood-alcohol concentration over 80, and dangerous operation. Officers also issued a 90-day administrative driver’s licence suspension and a seven-day vehicle impoundment.

The accused was released from custody and is scheduled to appear in the Ontario Court of Justice in Sarnia on Jan. 19, 2025.

Police are reminding motorists to plan ahead and never drive while impaired, and to report suspected impaired drivers to the OPP at 1-888-310-1122.
