Firefighters with the St. Clair Township Fire Department responded to a water rescue involving an injured person aboard a commercial vessel on Dec. 14.
The incident involved a vessel located approximately 40 feet from the shoreline of the St. Clair River. Firefighters safely made contact with the injured individual and successfully extricated the person from the vessel to land.
The patient was then transferred to the care of emergency medical services.
