OPP officials allege: A coordinated joint investigation has resulted in the seizure of a large quantity of suspected cocaine and the laying of drug charges following a commercial vehicle inspection in Lambton County.
On December 23, 2025, shortly before 1:30 p.m., an Ontario Ministry of Transportation commercial motor vehicle inspection led police to attend the MTO scales off Highway 402 in the Township of Plympton-Wyoming. Members of the Lambton County Detachment of the Ontario Provincial Police, the Lambton County Community Street Crime Unit and the Border Enforcement Security Task Force were involved in the investigation.
Police seized approximately 137 kilograms of suspected cocaine, with an estimated street value of more than $4.1 million. A quantity of Canadian and U.S. currency, along with other items related to the investigation, was also seized.
A 43-year-old London resident has been charged under the Controlled Drugs and Substances Act with possession of a Schedule I substance for the purpose of trafficking and importing a Schedule I substance. The accused was remanded into custody and is scheduled to appear in court on December 30, 2025.
