Chatham-Kent Police Service officials allege: A 42-year-old woman from Chatham is facing impaired driving charges following a traffic stop on Elizabeth Street.
On December 29, 2025, at approximately 4:19 p.m., Chatham-Kent Police Service officers conducted a traffic stop and observed signs of impairment in the driver. She was arrested and transported to police headquarters, where she provided two breath samples that both registered above the legal limit.
She was charged with operation while impaired by alcohol and drugs and operation while impaired with a blood alcohol concentration over the legal limit.
The woman was later released with conditions and is scheduled to appear in court on January 15, 2026.
