Chatham-Kent Police Service officials allege: A 25-year-old Pain Court man is facing impaired driving charges following a single-vehicle collision in Pain Court.
Chatham-Kent Police Service officers responded to a report of a vehicle that had left the roadway and entered a ditch on Pain Court Line on Dec. 31, 2025, at approximately 11:49 p.m. Officers located a lone occupant seated in the driver’s seat, who was displaying signs of impairment. No injuries were reported.
The driver was arrested and transported to police headquarters, where breath testing indicated he was over the legal limit.
The accused was charged with operation while impaired by alcohol and drugs and operation while impaired with a blood alcohol concentration over 80 milligrams. He was released with conditions and is scheduled to appear in court on Jan. 19, 2026.
