With heavy hearts we announce the sudden passing of, Walpole Island First Nation Member, Alexander Everette Justin Johnson ‘Boone’ on January 1, 2026 at the age 29.
He will be forever loved and missed by his parents Melanie Johnson (Nevada) and Len Pinnance as well as by his son Kayson and his mother Kate. Boone has been welcomed into heaven by his grandparents Douglas and Leita Johnson and is survived by his grandparents Earl Pinnance (Cindy) and Selina Williams as well as by his siblings Waylon, Tim (Bailey), Onch, Miinaan, Nevada Jr., Jordan and Emma. He will be remembered and loved by his many extended family including his aunties, uncles, cousins and his many hunting buddies especially Wenahbeh.
Family and friends are invited to gather for community visitation at the Walpole Island Sports Complex beginning on Wednesday, January 7, 2026 from 5pm until the time of his funeral service on Thursday January 8th at 1pm. Funeral arrangements are under the care of the Haycock-Cavanagh Funeral Home, 409 Nelson Street in Wallaceburg (519-627-3231).
