Chatham-Kent Police Service officials allege: A 63-year-old Wallaceburg woman has been arrested on an outstanding warrant in connection with a residential fire that occurred in late December.
Chatham-Kent police were called to a house fire on Brock Street in Wallaceburg on Dec. 23, 2025. Investigators determined the 62-year-old homeowner was not at the residence when the fire started.
Police say surveillance footage led to the identification of the accused, and she was subsequently charged with arson causing damage to property. A warrant was issued for her arrest.
On Jan. 6, 2026, at approximately 4:12 p.m., officers located the woman on Lorne Avenue in Wallaceburg and arrested her on the outstanding warrant. She was transported to police headquarters and later released with conditions. She is scheduled to appear in court on Feb. 12, 2026.
