Chatham-Kent Police Service officials allege: A Chatham-Kent woman has been arrested in Thamesville on outstanding warrants stemming from a prior collision investigation.
Police say the investigation began following a report of a vehicle collision in a parking lot on Keil Drive in Chatham on November 7, 2025. A pickup truck reportedly drove onto a curb and struck a business before fleeing the scene. No injuries were reported and there was no major structural damage.
Through investigation, officers identified the driver as a 50-year-old female from Chatham-Kent. Police allege she was prohibited from entering the property, was operating a motor vehicle while under suspension, and failed to remain at the scene.
She was previously arrested and released with a court date of November 27, 2025, which she failed to attend, resulting in a bench warrant. On January 8, 2026, at approximately 3:07 p.m., she was located and arrested on Victoria Street in Thamesville. She was transported to Chatham-Kent Police Service headquarters and is currently being held for bail.
