Curl Power took top honours as the Sydenham Community Curling Club wrapped up its second annual Women’s Bonspiel on Jan. 10 in Wallaceburg.
The Ice Queens placed second, followed by Team Kelly in third, as the event came to a close after another successful night at the club. Organizers thanked everyone who came out to support the bonspiel and help create a positive atmosphere.
The Women’s Bonspiel brought together curlers, supporters and community members to celebrate women’s curling while raising funds for the local women’s shelter and the curling club. Along with on-ice action, the event included food, entertainment and a live auction.
The bonspiel was themed “Strong Women, Strong Bonds, Strong Shots,” highlighting its focus on community, sport and support for women-focused initiatives.
