Chatham-Kent Police Service officials allege: A 57-year-old man from London has been arrested on a warrant in connection with a break-and-enter investigation in Chatham-Kent.
Police say that on Jan. 17, at about 1:45 p.m., officers learned a man attended a residence on Burk Line in Chatham, attempted to make contact at the door and later entered the home through an unlocked patio door. The man was confronted inside the residence and left in a vehicle.
Following further investigation, the vehicle was identified in Thamesville and the suspect was identified, leading to a warrant for his arrest. On Jan. 21, at about 1:48 p.m., the accused was located on Elm Street in Bothwell and arrested.
He has been charged with break and enter with intent to commit an indictable offence and was taken to Chatham-Kent Police Service headquarters, where he is being held for bail.
