Shaniya Snow Sands, a member of Walpole Island First Nation passed away on Tuesday, January 20, 2026 at the age of 29.
She was a loving mother to her children Sasha Mae and Sunny Eden.
Beloved daughter of Nathan Sands and the late Maxine Peters and dear sister to Wilfred Sands.
Predeceased by her grandparents Della and Alfred Sands, Morley Peters, and Delcie Shipman.
She will be greatly missed by her many aunts and uncles.
Community visitation will be held at the Haycock-Cavanagh Funeral Home, 409 Nelson Street in Wallaceburg (519-627-3231) from 2-4pm and 6-8pm on Monday, January 26.
Her funeral services will take place at the Walpole Island Sports Complex at 11am on Tuesday, January 27 followed by burial at Highbanks Cemetery. Cherished stories and tributes may be left for the family at www.CavanaghFuneralHome.ca.
