Chatham-Kent Police Service officials allege: A 45-year-old Chatham woman is facing theft-related charges after police responded to a reported shoplifting incident at a Queen Street business on January 22.
Investigators say the woman entered the store and left with a large quantity of merchandise without paying. Surveillance footage was used to identify the suspect, who was later located and arrested on King Street West.
She was charged with theft under $5,000 and possession of property obtained by crime under $5,000. The accused was released with conditions and is scheduled to appear in court on February 24.
