Chatham-Kent Police Service officials allege: A 28-year-old woman from Walpole Island has been arrested in connection with a robbery investigation stemming from an incident at a Wallaceburg business.
Chatham-Kent police say officers responded to a theft call on Dec. 23, 2025, at a business on Duncan Street. Investigators allege the accused selected several items and made no attempt to pay. When confronted by a store employee, a brief physical altercation occurred before the suspect left the store with the merchandise. No injuries were reported.
Through surveillance footage, officers identified the accused and laid a charge of robbery with intent. A warrant was subsequently issued for her arrest.
On Feb. 2, 2026, at approximately 8:03 p.m., the woman was located and arrested by Walpole Island Police on the outstanding warrant. She was returned to Chatham-Kent police headquarters, where she is being held for bail.
