ARTspace to present ‘Psalms: Part One’ exhibition by Bryan Halls

ARTspace will present Psalms: Part One, an exhibition featuring the work of Chatham-Kent artist Bryan Halls, beginning Feb. 4, 2026.

An opening reception will be held on Feb. 6 from 5 p.m. to 9 p.m. as part of Art Under the Stars CK. The event will include live music by QU and is open to the public.

The exhibition features Psalms 1 through 30 and marks the beginning of Halls’ multi-year devotional project to create an artwork for each of the 150 Psalms. The artist describes the undertaking as both an artistic and spiritual practice, likening it to a monk methodically painting every inch of a cell. Working exclusively in black and white, Halls explores the contrast between the darkness of the modern world and what he describes as the clarity of divine light, offering viewers insight into a lifelong act of faith and creation.

ARTspace is located at 165½ King St. W. and is open Wednesday through Saturday from noon to 5 p.m. Admission is free.
