Chatham-Kent Police Service officials allege: A 70-year-old Blenheim man is facing charges following an alleged assault and threats investigation.
On Feb. 8, 2026, at approximately 1:48 p.m., Chatham-Kent police responded to a report of an assault on Stanley Street. Police learned the accused and the victim had been involved in an ongoing dispute.
During the incident, police allege the accused physically assaulted the victim and threatened to cause bodily harm. Investigators also determined the accused had previously made threats that caused the victim to fear for their safety.
The accused was charged with uttering threats to cause death or bodily harm and assault. He was transported to police headquarters and released with a court date scheduled for March 31, 2026.
