Chatham-Kent Police Service officials allege: A 43-year-old Chatham-Kent man has been arrested on an outstanding warrant in connection with a break and enter at a business in Chatham.
Chatham-Kent police said officers responded on Jan. 21, 2026, at approximately 10:11 a.m. to a report of a break and enter at a business on King Street West.
Investigators allege the accused entered the premises, stole several tools and exited. Through surveillance, the accused was identified as a 43-year-old male from Chatham-Kent.
Police said officers formed reasonable grounds to charge the accused with “Break, Enter a place -Commit Indictable Offence,” and a warrant was subsequently issued for his arrest.
On Feb. 10, 2026, at approximately 11:10 a.m., the accused was located on Third Street in Chatham and arrested on the strength of the outstanding warrant. He was transported to Chatham-Kent Police Service headquarters and later released with conditions and a scheduled future court date of June 10, 2026.
