With sadness and an overwhelming feeling of peace we announce the passing of Lila Lloyd on Saturday, March 7, 2026 at the Chatham Kent Health Alliance “Chatham Campus” at the age of 94 Years. She was born in Dartmouth, Nova Scotia and was a daughter of the late Hensley and Carrie (Peters) Boutilier.
Lila is now reunited with her late husband Charles Lloyd (1989).
Loving mother of Charles Lloyd, Mike (Tammy) Whitty, Heather (the late Bruce) Webb, Sharon (John) O’Leary, Brenda (Grant) Velemirovich, Donna (Rick) Cowden, the late Daniel Whitty and two infant daughters Kathy and Darlene.
She will always be remembered by her several grandchildren and great grandchildren.
Dear sister-in-law of Catherine Boutilier and Lois Croft. Predeceased by her sisters Carrie “Mae” Hiltz and her brothers, Granville, Basil and infant Lloyd. She will also be missed by many nieces, nephews, family and friends.
Lila enjoyed being in the comforts of her own home with family around or watching her game shows on TV. When she did go out it was always for a trip to play bingo or to the casino which she loved to do.
The late Mrs. Lila Lloyd is resting at Eric F. Nicholls Funeral Home Ltd. 639 Elgin St., Wallaceburg. Family and friends are invited for visitation on Tuesday March 10, 2026 from 6-8pm at the funeral home. A funeral service will be celebrated on Wednesday, March 11, 2026 at 1pm at the funeral home. Interment in Riverview Cemetery, Wallaceburg.
As an expression of sympathy, donations to the Heart and Stroke Foundation of Canada and may be left at the funeral home.
