Chatham-Kent Police Service officials allege: A 28-year-old Harwich Township woman is facing several charges after a collision on Bloomfield Road.
Chatham-Kent Police Service says officers responded to the crash at about 10:14 p.m. on March 7.
Police say the driver, a 43-year-old Blenheim man, and a 28-year-old Harwich Township woman were both in breach of court-ordered conditions prohibiting them from communicating with each other.
Investigators allege the woman assaulted the driver and grabbed the steering wheel, causing the vehicle to leave the roadway and collide with a hydro pole.
The woman was transported to hospital with minor injuries and was arrested there.
She has been charged with failing to comply with an undertaking, uttering threats to cause death, dangerous operation and mischief endangering life.
Police say she was later released with a scheduled court appearance on March 31, 2026.
