Residents in the Ridgetown area with modest incomes and simple tax situations can receive free help filing their income taxes through a volunteer program offered at the local library branch.
The Community Volunteer Income Tax Program will provide volunteers at the Ridgetown Branch of the Chatham-Kent Public Library again this tax season. Tax return drop-offs will be accepted until Tuesday, March 24, with a limited number of spots available.
The program is delivered in partnership with Enbridge volunteers and is intended to assist individuals who meet eligibility requirements for modest income and straightforward tax filings.
Residents must contact the Ridgetown Branch before March 24 to determine if they qualify. Those who are eligible will be registered by library staff, invited to pick up the necessary forms and provided with further instructions.
