Wallaceburg library branch announces spring program lineup

The Wallaceburg branch of the Chatham-Kent Public Library is offering a range of programs and events from April through June for residents of all ages.

Regular programming includes weekly storytime sessions for children aged 18 months and older and their caregivers, featuring stories, songs and rhymes, as well as a weekly knitting and crochet club where participants can share patterns, learn new skills and connect with others.

Special events begin April 1 with the Beat the Odds Health Fair, inviting participants to take part in book-inspired wellness activities, including chair exercises, healthy snacks and guided meditation, hosted by the Chatham-Kent Community Health Centres.

The branch will also host recurring LEGO drop-in sessions on the second Saturday of each month, alongside visits from St. John Ambulance therapy dogs, where attendees can meet Bright or Wally.

Additional programming includes a PA Day event on April 24 focused on environmental activities such as scavenger hunts and crafts, as well as a Pokémon-themed PA Day on June 5 featuring games and activities for children.

Adults and teens can take part in programs such as a diamond dot craft night on May 7 and a jigsaw puzzle race on May 19, where teams compete to complete a 500-piece puzzle.

The library’s Spice Club will run monthly sessions in April, May and June, offering participants themed kits with recipes and spices, along with virtual discussions.

Youth programming also includes the CK Museum Kids Club “Tiny Tilers” event on June 20, encouraging children to explore creativity through mosaic tile art.

The branch will also launch its summer reading club beginning June 26, with registration continuing throughout the season.
