Jesse Kewayosh

With heavy hearts we announce the passing of, Walpole Island First Nation Member, Jesse Mookishig Kewayosh on April 2, 2026 at the age 28. He will be forever loved and missed by his parents Wilcy Kewayosh Jr. and Evelyn Kewayosh and his siblings, twin sister Liberty Grace Kewayosh, brother Ki William Lalieu Kewayosh, Jessica Kewayosh-Yazbeck, and Jessica Taylor. Jesse was the grandson of the late Wilcy and Lucille Kewayosh Senior, and Roy and Jessie Freeman. Jesse was a proud loving uncle to Raenyn Grace Kewayosh and a beloved nephew to great uncle Bill Freeman, great uncle Everett Gray, Linda Johnson, Carla Sands, Tina Kewayosh, Randy Kewayosh, and Rick Kewayosh. He will be missed dearly by his many cousins and friends.

Jesse loved to pray to God. He followed hockey closely as a fan of the Sarnia Sting and the Detroit Red Wings. On his YouTube Channel, Jesse enjoyed filming reaction videos. He loved to spend time with his family, eat Auntie Carla’s Singapore Noodles, and watch fireworks and airplanes fly through the sky. Family and Friends are invited for visitation at the Haycock-Cavanagh Funeral Home, 409 Nelson Street in Wallaceburg (519-627-3231), on Tuesday, April 7, 2026 from 2-4 and 6-8pm. His funeral will take place on Wednesday, April 8, 2026 at 1:00 pm at the Walpole Island Evangelistic Centre. Interment to follow at Highbanks Cemetery.
