The St. Clair Catholic District School Board is launching its first 50/50 raffle of the year, with proceeds supporting schools across the system through the St. Clair District Catholic Education Foundation.
The “Spring Blessings 50/50 Raffle” opened for ticket sales on April 8 and will run until a draw scheduled for May 29.
The foundation said the initiative builds on fundraising momentum from 2025, when three 50/50 draws generated more than $111,000. Of that total, over $55,000 was awarded in prize winnings, while more than $41,000 was directed toward school-based initiatives.
Those funds supported a range of projects, including outdoor equipment, team uniforms, technology upgrades, field trips and outdoor learning spaces, as well as other enhancements selected by schools in collaboration with Catholic School Advisory Councils.
“We are so grateful for the incredible support of our families, staff, volunteers, parish partners, and the broader community,” said Lisa Demers. “Because of this generosity, we are able to help provide meaningful opportunities and enhancements for our students that truly make a difference in their learning and well-being. Every ticket purchased is an investment in our students and a reflection of the strong, caring community that surrounds them.”
The foundation said it plans to run three 50/50 draws throughout 2026 as it continues to raise funds for Catholic schools in the region.
Tickets are available online, with pricing options ranging from 10 for $10 to 500 for $100, and participants are encouraged to select a specific school or the “All SCCDSB Schools” option when purchasing.
