Chatham woman charged after vehicle allegedly taken without consent

Chatham-Kent Police Service officials allege The Chatham-Kent Police Service charged a 63-year-old Chatham woman after a vehicle was allegedly taken without the owner’s consent on Arthur Drive in Chatham.

Police said officers responded to the call on May 20, 2026, at about 2:43 p.m.

Through investigation, officers located the vehicle a short time later and safely took a suspect into custody without incident.

The accused was charged with taking a motor vehicle without consent.

Police said the accused was released with a future court date.
