Canadian Tire Wallaceburg will host a Touch A Truck fundraiser on June 13 in support of local youth programs and minor sports organizations in the community.
The event is scheduled to run from noon to 3 p.m. at 74 McNaughton Ave. in Wallaceburg and will raise funds for Canadian Tire Jumpstart, with organizers noting all money raised will remain in Wallaceburg.
Families will have the opportunity to explore a variety of trucks and emergency vehicles, with children invited to sit on the vehicles and take photos throughout the afternoon.
Wallaceburg Minor Hockey officials praised Canadian Tire Wallaceburg’s ongoing support for local organizations including the Wallaceburg Minor Hockey Association, Wallaceburg Minor Lacrosse Association, Wallaceburg Minor Baseball Association and Wallaceburg Soccer Association.
The organization said the support helps keep sports accessible and affordable for local families while encouraging physical activity and community connection.
“That kind of community support makes a huge difference for our athletes and keeping physical activity and community connection accessible for families,” hockey officials stated.
Admission is free for children, while adults will pay $5. A barbecue lunch will also be available for an additional cost.
