Renée Daras (nee Christian), a loved member of our Baha’i community passed from this life on Wednesday, June 3, 2026 at the age of 70.
Renée became a Baha’i May 20, 1973, some 53 plus years ago. She also was privileged to serve the Mary Kay Canadian and US community for over 45 years.
Renée is survived by her beloved husband Christos Daras who stood by her side for over 32 years, never faltering. At age 40, Renée became a mother, her children Troy (Sylvie), Chloe and Angelica (Michael) were a sense of joy and inspiration her whole life. Their eldest daughter Kleopatra (Carson), left for the next realm in 2021. She too was an angel in our lives.
Renée lived a colourful life, from working in the factories at age 15, to a publicly celebrated career with Mary Kay.
Most of all she loved being a member of the Bahai World Faith.
All are welcome to come Celebrate Her Life at the Haycock-Cavanagh Funeral Home, 409 Nelson Street in Wallaceburg (519-627-3231) on Tuesday, June 9, 2026 at 11am.
Following her burial at Riverview Cemetery, all are invited to gather for refreshments and fellowship at the Cavanagh Reception Centre.
