Chatham-Kent Public Library is inviting local teens to take part in a summer of creativity, reading and music-inspired activities through its Teen Summer Reading program.
Running from June 27 to Aug. 22 at all library branches, the program offers bi-weekly activities designed to encourage teens aged 12 to 18 to read, create and connect within their communities.
This year’s Rock ‘n’ Read theme rewards participants with ballots for every book they check out. The ballots provide opportunities to win branch prize packs that include a special-edition library tote bag, a metal electric guitar wall display and a stainless-steel guitar necklace.
The library is also hosting a Teen Bookmark Contest from June 27 to Aug. 10, inviting teens to submit original artwork, designs or photography. One winning design will be selected. Entry forms are available at all branches and submissions must be returned by Monday, Aug. 10.
