OPP officials allege: A Walpole Island First Nation resident is facing impaired driving charges after a single-vehicle collision in Lakeshore.
Essex County OPP said officers investigated the crash on County Road 42 near Gracey Side Road at about 7:58 p.m. on June 20.
A 50-year-old resident of Walpole Island First Nation was charged with impaired operation involving alcohol and drugs, operating a vehicle with a blood-alcohol concentration exceeding the legal limit and dangerous operation.
Police imposed a 90-day administrative driver’s licence suspension and a seven-day vehicle impoundment.
The accused is scheduled to appear in the Ontario Court of Justice in Windsor on July 22.
