Chatham-Kent Police Service officials allege: A 42-year-old Wallaceburg man is facing a theft charge after an alleged shoplifting incident at a Wallaceburg business.
Members of the Chatham-Kent Police Service responded to a business on McNaughton Avenue at about 12:42 p.m. on June 24 after receiving a report of a theft.
Police allege the man entered the store and stole two bottles of alcohol.
Following an investigation, officers located and arrested the Wallaceburg man. He was charged with theft under $5,000.
The accused was released from custody and is scheduled to appear in court on July 27.
