Chatham-Kent Police Service officials allege: Chatham-Kent police arrested three people for alleged Liquor Licence and Control Act violations during separate incidents in Chatham and Erieau on July 3 and 4.
Police say the first incident occurred shortly after midnight on July 3 when officers responded to a disturbance involving an intoxicated man on Wedgewood Drive in Chatham.
A 24-year-old Chatham man was arrested for being intoxicated in a public place and taken to Chatham-Kent Police Service headquarters, where he was lodged until sober.
At about 5:17 a.m. the same day, officers conducting a focused patrol on King Street in Chatham encountered an intoxicated 54-year-old Chatham-Kent man. Police said he was unable to care for himself and was arrested for public intoxication before being lodged until sober.
The third incident occurred at about 9:36 a.m. on July 4 after police responded to a disturbance on Ross Street in Erieau.
A 51-year-old woman was arrested for being intoxicated in a common area. Police said she was unable to care for herself and was taken to headquarters, where she was lodged until sober. She was also issued a Provincial Offences Notice.
