Randy Hope is running for Mayor of Chatham-Kent

Former Chatham-Kent Mayor Randy Hope is looking to get his old job back.

Hope filed his nomination papers and is running once again for Chatham-Kent’s top elected position.

Hope served three terms as mayor from 2006 to 2018.

He was also a MPP for the New Democratic Party from 1990 to 1995.

He is the sixth person to file for the position of mayor.

Hope joins current Chatham-Kent Councillors Lauren Anderson and Michael Bondy, Nelson Burm, Ryan Gow and incumbent Mayor Darrin Canniff on the mayoral ballot.

Election day is Monday, October 26, 2026.
