British blues and soul singer-songwriter Alice Armstrong will make her first appearance in Dresden on July 31 as part of her debut promotional tour of Canada.
The four-time UK Blues Award winner will perform at Old Czech Hall starting at 7:30 p.m., with admission set at $25 at the door.
The Dresden show is one stop on Armstrong’s first Canadian tour, which introduces audiences to material from her new album, Blood In The Water.
Armstrong has built an international reputation for her vocals, songwriting and live performances, which draw on blues, soul, gospel and Americana influences.
She is also known for speaking openly about neurodiversity, using her shows to spark conversations about autism, ADHD and other neurodivergent experiences, and for encouraging authenticity, resilience and inclusion through her music.
“This evening is about bringing people together through music while supporting an important community cause,” said event organizers. “We’re excited to welcome Alice to Dresden, ON and introduce local audiences to an artist whose performances are as inspiring as they are entertaining.”
The concert will include both acoustic and electric sets, giving the audience a closer look at the stories behind the songs on Blood In The Water.
Seating is limited, and organizers are recommending early arrival.
