Robert “Bob”, formerly of Thamesville, passed away peacefully at Erie Shores Health Care in Leamington on Saturday, July 18, 2026 at the age of 77.
Born in Tilsonburg, son of the late James and Ioma (Schultz) Kennedy.
Bob built his legacy “The Cottage” on Lake Nosbonsing with his step-father Dennis Welch who he loved and admired, he was never happier than when he was on the lake fishing and spending time with his family.
Bob worked for over 30 years in quality engineering at Oxford Automotive and Olsen’s.
He was a founding member of S.H.U.C.K.S. Angling and Consulting and a proud member of the Bass Boys fishing group.
Bob was a great cook, loved to play poker and enjoyed gathering with his friends at the Table of Knowledge at the Hotel to enjoy a cold beer and some great conversation.
Beloved husband and best friend of the Late Patricia “Pat” (Dark) Kennedy (2009). Loving dad of Nicole Kennedy and Danielle and Tyler Ross.
Proud grandpa of Kale and Quinn. Dear brother of Nadine Brown (Robert) and the Late Susan Case.
Sadly missed by his nieces and nephew Kelly, Robert (Sarah), Jacqueline, Christine, and Joanna.
Chosen son of the Late Alvie and Yvonne Lovell and their family Joann Kristoferson (Paul), Kathy MacIssac (Doug) and Allan Lovell (Michelle).
The family would like to thank Gary and Sue Stewart for their unwavering love and support.
Bob will be missed by his countless friends who meant so much to him.
A Celebration of Bob’s Life will be held at the Thamesville Legion 32 Victoria St., Thamesville on Wednesday, July 22, 2026 from 1:00 PM – 4:00 PM. Memories and Remembrances will be shared by the family at 1:30 PM Sharp!
A Private Family Graveside Service will be held at Mayhew-Mt. Pleasant Cemetery, Thamesville. If desired, donations can be made online to the Ontario Federation of Anglers and Hunters or the Ontario Lung Association.
