OPP officials allege: The Lambton County detachment of the Ontario Provincial Police is requesting the public’s assistance identifying a suspect in a theft at a business in Point Edward.
Police say that on July 21, 2026, at approximately 1 a.m., an unknown individual arrived at a business on River Front Street in a pickup truck, exited the vehicle, stole a powerboat charging cord and left the area in the same vehicle. The stolen cord is valued at approximately $2,000.
The suspect is described as a white male of medium build, wearing a grey sweater. The pickup truck is described as navy blue with a red hood and a chrome toolbox mounted in the bed.
The investigation remains ongoing. Anyone who can identify the suspect or has information is asked to contact the Lambton County OPP at 1-888-310-1122, quoting reference number E261049547, or to submit an anonymous tip to Crime Stoppers at 1-800-222-TIPS (8477) or online at www.sarnialambtoncrimestoppers.org, where tipsters may be eligible for a cash reward of up to $2,000.
