Sarnia police are investigating a single-vehicle collision in the area of Lakeshore Road and Egmond Drive that has closed Lakeshore Road between Egmond Drive and Beach Lane for an unknown period of time.
Shortly after 9:45 a.m., Sarnia Fire Rescue firefighters responded to the collision, which involved a vehicle striking a hydro pole in the 500 block of Lakeshore Road.
The lone occupant of the vehicle sustained minor injuries and was transported to Bluewater Health as a precaution.
Lakeshore Road will remain temporarily closed while Bluewater Power works to stabilize and replace the significantly damaged hydro pole. Drivers are asked to seek an alternate route while crews complete the work.
