OPP officials allege: Police are investigating a serious single vehicle collision in the Township of Strathroy-Caradoc.
On Saturday, August 2, 2026, shortly before 7 a.m., members of the Middlesex County Detachment of the Ontario Provincial Police, Strathroy-Caradoc Fire Services and Middlesex Emergency Medical Services responded to a single motor vehicle collision between Hickory Drive and Centre Road on Highway 402 in the eastbound lanes. A sedan collided with the guiderail and left the roadway.
The 24-year-old driver from London was taken to a local hospital with life-threatening injuries.
The eastbound lanes of Highway 402 between Centre Road and Hickory Drive will be closed for several hours to facilitate the investigation.
The Middlesex County OPP is conducting the investigation with assistance from the OPP West Region Traffic Enforcement and Management Team.
