WAMBO weekend to feature packed entertainment lineup in downtown Wallacburg

This year’s Wallaceburg Antique Motor and Boat Outing will bring a full slate of entertainment to downtown Wallaceburg, including live music, a children’s concert, and karaoke.

The weekend kicks off Friday at 7 p.m. with a performance by Big Shiny Toons, bringing four-part harmonies and a set of 1990s hits.

On Saturday, the Wallaceburg and District Council for the Arts will present Raffi Reimagined at 11 a.m. on the WAMBO Main Stage. The free concert for all ages, produced by Kindred Kids Music, will star Qu and the Baby Beluga Band performing reimagined versions of songs made famous by Canadian children’s music legend Raffi.

Karaoke Korner will open at noon near the library.

The Wallaceburg and District Council for the Arts will then bring back its Second Saturday on the Sydenham event from 1 to 4 p.m. at the WAMBO Beer Tent, featuring a performance by CD/DC.

The weekend wraps up Saturday at 7 p.m. with Scott Manery and the Barn Burners, who will perform original material from their five-album catalogue.

Organizers say the evenings are meant for people to gather at the stage or settle into the refreshment tent, with lawn chairs, friends and familiar songs carrying the crowd through the night.
