Chatham-Kent Police Service officials allege: A 43-year-old Chatham woman is facing charges after a man was assaulted with scissors and a cellphone, Chatham-Kent police say.
Police were dispatched to a Chatham address at 1:50 p.m. on Aug. 8 regarding a disturbance. Investigation revealed a woman had assaulted a man with the items and told him she was going to kill him, according to police. The man sustained minor injuries.
The woman was arrested and charged with assault with a weapon and uttering threats.
She was taken to Chatham-Kent Police Service headquarters and released on a Form 10 with a court date of Sept. 15.
