Chatham-Kent Police Service officials allege: A 55-year-old Chatham woman is facing impaired driving charges after police responded to a report of a possible impaired driver on McKeough Avenue, Chatham-Kent police say.
Police were contacted at 9 p.m. on Aug. 8 and located the vehicle on Grand Avenue. When officers attempted to initiate a traffic stop, the vehicle pulled into the driveway of a residence, according to police. After speaking with the driver, officers formed grounds for her arrest.
She was taken to Chatham-Kent Police Service headquarters, where she provided breath samples.
She is facing charges of operation while impaired by alcohol and operation while impaired with a blood alcohol concentration of 80 milligrams or more of alcohol in 100 millilitres of blood. She was released on a Form 10 with a court date of Sept. 22.
