Sarnia Police Service officials allege: Sarnia police are investigating a suspicious fire that broke out early Thursday morning at a business in the 1300 block of Lambton Mall Road.
At approximately 5 a.m., emergency services responded to reports of a fire at the building. Sarnia Fire Rescue personnel attended and quickly contained the fire. No injuries were reported.
Based on the information gathered so far, police say the incident is being investigated as an arson.
At this stage of the investigation, limited information is available for release. Investigators continue to examine the circumstances surrounding the incident and are actively working to identify those responsible.
Police are appealing to the public for assistance. Anyone with information regarding the incident, who was in the area during the early morning hours, or who has surveillance footage, dash camera video or any other information that may assist investigators is asked to contact the Sarnia Police Service Criminal Investigations Division at 519-344-8861.
