Chatham-Kent seeking volunteers for Together CK grant review committee

The Municipality of Chatham-Kent is looking for residents interested in helping shape local community investments by serving on the Together CK Review Committee.

The Together CK Grant Program, established by council in 2000, supports community projects and events aimed at enhancing quality of life across Chatham-Kent. Since it began, the program has leveraged municipal investment into more than $15 million in community development projects and events.

Committee members work alongside municipal staff to review grant applications, evaluate projects based on established criteria and make funding recommendations to council. Volunteers play a role in ensuring funding is allocated fairly and supports initiatives that deliver meaningful community benefits.

Residents aged 18 and older are encouraged to apply. Successful applicants will be appointed for the current term of council and should expect to commit approximately 30 hours each fall to reviewing applications and attending committee meetings.

Applications will be evaluated based on relevant experience, including volunteer involvement, committee participation and other skills that would support the committee’s work.

The application deadline is Sept. 18.

More information on the Together CK Grant Program is available on the municipality’s website.
