Two arrested on outstanding warrants in Chatham

Chatham-Kent Police Service officials allege: Two people have been arrested on outstanding warrants in separate incidents in Chatham.

On Aug. 31, 2026, at approximately 5:54 a.m., members of the Chatham-Kent Police Service were called to a business on Keil Drive South after a woman approached staff and asked them to contact police because she had multiple warrants and wished to turn herself in. Police attended the area and arrested the woman without incident.

The 33-year-old woman from Walpole Island was transported to Chatham-Kent Police headquarters, where she was held pending a bail hearing.

Later that day, at approximately 9:21 a.m., a 40-year-old Chatham man was arrested on an outstanding warrant at the courthouse on Grand Avenue West. The man was taken into custody without incident and held pending a bail hearing.
