St. Clair Township launches webpage for Moore Sports Complex construction updates

The St. Clair Township Community Services Department is launching a dedicated webpage to keep residents and user groups informed about the ongoing construction project at the Moore Sports Complex.

“We understand this project impacts our community significantly and we want to ensure residents are getting information that’s timely and accurate, straight from the source,” said Director Kendall Lindsay. “We also know this project is evolving by the day, and, as we learn more and continue to adapt to challenges and unforeseen issues within the building, timelines and impacts are inevitably going to change. We appreciate the community’s understanding throughout this process.”

The Pool Project Information page will post the latest news releases, notices, service updates and timelines related to the project as they become available, and residents will be notified of services and programming that continue during construction.

“We’re doing everything we can to keep as much of the facility operating and available to our users as possible,” Lindsay added. “That means adapting, getting creative and, above all, keeping safety at the forefront. Our team is resilient, and we know our users are too.”

Among the most recent updates, the pool, pool changerooms and fitness centre remain closed, and the Mooretown Library branch, located on the second floor, was set to close temporarily beginning September 7. Lobby 2, including elevator access, was also set to close this month, while Rinks 1 and 2 remain open and selected group fitness classes continue.
