The Chatham Public Library will host a stop on the Renewed Canadian Welcome Book Tour on Tuesday, September 15, from 7 to 8:30 p.m.
The event will feature book contributor Rena Namago in conversation with Dr. Vasanthi Venkatesh and former migrant worker and activist Gabriel Allahdua, discussing Canada’s Temporary Foreign Worker Program, the settler colonial roots of the country’s immigration system and grassroots movements for change.
The event is free to attend, but organizers are asking attendees to RSVP through the Canadian for Public Justice website.
