OPP officials allege: Police have charged a 47-year-old Corunna woman following a traffic complaint in Corunna last week.
The Lambton County detachment of the OPP received a report of a possible impaired driver on Lyndoch Street shortly after 10:30 p.m. on Oct. 3.
Le-Anne Arthur has been charged under the Criminal Code, the Tobacco Tax Act and the Liquor Licence and Control Act with operation while impaired with a blood alcohol concentration of 80 plus, possession of unmarked cigarettes, and driving a vehicle with an open container of liquor.
The accused was released from custody and is scheduled to appear in the Ontario Court of Justice on Nov. 2 in Sarnia.
Lambton County OPP thanked members of the public who promptly reported the traffic complaint. Anyone who sees anything suspicious or suspects an impaired driver is asked to contact the OPP at 1-888-310-1122.
