On Tuesday, October 6, 2026 Charles (Charlie) Clarke passed away peacefully at the age of 88 with his beloved wife of 69 years Carol and his son Craig by his side. He leaves behind his much-loved children Cheryl Burroughs (late Joe), Cammie Dumais and Craig Clarke. Remembered always as Grandpa Charlie to his cherished grandchildren Holly Burroughs, Briar Dumais and Tahnee Dumais and his special great grandchildren Havana and Brooklyn.
Charlie was the last remaining child of the late George and Lottie Clark and is now reunited with his sisters Helen Waring (Jimmy) and Bessie Workman (Elgan). He will be fondly thought of by his many nieces, nephews and extended family especially his brother-in-law Melvin Pinsonneault. Charlie was an especially hard worker, which showed throughout his life working on his farm in Sombra Township as well as years driving long haul trucks across North America.
Family and friends are invited to gather for visitation at the Haycock-Cavanagh Funeral Home, 409 Nelson Street in Wallaceburg (519-627-3231) on Tuesday, October 13, 2026 from 10:30am until 11:45am. His funeral service will begin at 12noon, followed by burial at Riverview Cemetery and a light lunch at the Cavanagh Reception Centre.
