With heavy hearts we announce that our beloved Robert Frederick Joseph Landry passed away suddenly on Thursday, October 15, 2026. Robert (Bob) was a loving husband to Jean Landry. Son of the late Anne (Harold) and Frederick. Cherished father of Samanta (Mike), Michelle, Walter (Shannon), and Gina and beloved grandfather of Lee, Victoria, Priscilla, Brooke, Sophia, Damon, Chasity, Brittany, Breanna, Hope, Daisy, Ruston, Kira and Averi. Great-grandfather to Shianne, Vinny, Brady, Oliver, Charlotte, Theodore, Bronson, Andre, Vivian, Elijah, and Takoa. He will be missed greatly by his siblings Gary (Sheila), Joanne (Doug), Billy, Bryan and Suzie. Dear brother-in-law to Sharon baa, Rosemary, Fred (Ramona), Mike (Jackie), Gail baa, and Maxine (Virgil baa). Known to many as Papa and uncle Bob, he is much loved and missed by his many nieces and nephews and friends.
He loved to make people laugh thru his storytelling or his silly jokes. He enjoyed hosting and cooking for those he loved. He also loved his action movies and cutting it up on the dance floor. He loved his trucking days and Willie’s road house music station. His favourite song was “Six days on the Road”. He loved sitting by water with his wife and their ice caps.
Family and friends are invited to gather for visitation at the Walpole Island Sports Complex on Monday, October 19 from 4:00 pm until the time of his funeral service on Tuesday, October 20 at 11:00 am.
