The Chatham-Kent Police Service will hand out free reflective arm bands for children and share trick-or-treating safety tips at several events ahead of Halloween.
Police will have a table at the Chatham YMCA at 101 Courthouse Lane on Friday, Oct. 30, from 9:30 a.m. to noon. They will also be at The Maples Retirement Home’s Trunk or Treat event at 555 Bloomfield Road in Chatham from 4 p.m. to 6 p.m. that day.
On Saturday, Oct. 31, police will be at the Downtown Wallaceburg BIA Halloween event from 10 a.m. to 2 p.m.
Police say the arm bands are meant to help children be seen while out collecting treats.
